Physiotherapist

Jackson is a talented physiotherapist from the countryside of Armidale. Determined to fulfil his dream of becoming a physiotherapist, he moved to Newcastle for his studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (honours). Through his own personal rehabilitation journey Jackson became fascinated by the spine and in particular, the relationship between the spine and the neurological system.

Jackson is a mentor and clinical educator at our practice and also for the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

He has tutored specialist courses on:

• Cervical spine, thoracic and rib assessment and treatment
• Assessment and treatment of the lumbar spine, pelvis, SIJ and hip

His clinical focuses are;

• Acute and chronic neck pain encompassing headache and migraine management
• Disc related neck and back pain including nerve or referred pain
• Thoracic and rib dysfunction
• Inflammatory back pain
• SIJ dysfunction
• Pre and post spinal surgical rehabilitation

Jackson endeavours to understand the whole picture. He uses a combined approach of manual therapy and functional exercise rehab to achieve an accurate assessment and treatment of complex and recurring conditions. It is his passion to guide patients to achieve their goals, and to reach their pain free potential. When he is not in the clinic he enjoys snow skiing and functional strength training.
